Director Jason Cacioppo’s new video for Jaydiohead was filmed on location in three New York City boroughs – Brooklyn, Manhattan and the Bronx – including the streets of Soho and the Coney Island seaside boardwalk. Jason did all the location work himself, scouting and securing some far out locales to capture that only-in-New York feeling.

For our second water shoot, Tony Cacioppo built a more elaborate working water rig attached to a kitchen faucet, with help from electronics master Jared Cohen. There was no sink because the water went directly into the product we were shooting.

Scotch Lint Roller

In March, Subvoyant made a spot for Scotch Lint Roller that we shot at Picture Ray studio in Manhattan. Jason Cacioppo was the director. In addition to two human actors, we also hired a dog and a cat.

We tend to use Dawn Animal Agency for all our animal talent. They provided us with twelve dogs and cats for the Scotch Fur Fighter spot we made in 2008.

Of course the cats, while generally well-behaved, don’t take direction very well. This short video includes off-screen sounds from the cat trainer. Click the photo to play.

Fischerspooner “The Best Revenge”

Directors Jason Cacioppo and Adam Dugas release their kaleidoscopic new music video for Fischerspooner’s song “The Best Revenge.”

With dancers popping on the screen like a digital Busby Berkeley fun house, the video captures the energy and dynamism of the eclectic electronic performance group. The choreography by Vanessa Walters and wardrobe by Elise Fife were created for the band’s show “Between Worlds,” which toured the United States and Europe in 2009. “The Best Revenge” is featured on Fischerspooner’s latest album Entertainment (2009).

Like the directors’ first collaboration with the band for the song “We Are Electric,” the video was shot in the historic Performing Garage in New York City using the Red One camera. “We Are Electric” won raves for its ravishing visuals and was included in the film festival “A Shaded View on Fashion Film” at the Centre Pompidou in Paris.

“The Best Revenge” was given its world premiere in the Hayden Planetarium at the Museum of Natural History on January 8, 2010.
